Series Convergence and Sum
An estimate of the convergence of a numerical series by tests and its approximate sum.
What to find:
aₙ =
x
n from
The general term with the letter n: 1/n^2, 1/2^n, 1/n!, (−1)^n/n, (2n)!. The conclusion is a numerical estimate.
This calculator estimates the convergence of a numerical series with the necessary condition, the ratio and Leibniz tests and comparison with 1/nᵖ, and finds an approximate sum.
Example. The series 1/n diverges, 1/n² converges to π²/6, and 1/2ⁿ converges to 1.
This is a numerical estimate, not a proof. If the tests give no answer, as for ln(n)/n, the calculator says so plainly.
