The add to date calculator finds the date a given number of years, months, weeks and days after (or before) a date. The solution shows each step, the day of the week and a calendar of the month with the result.
How to add to a date
- Days and weeks are counted on the calendar: 1 week = 7 days. October 25 + 10 days = November 4.
- Months and years change the month or year number while the day stays the same: March 15 + 2 months = May 15. That is why a "month" can be 28 to 31 days long.
- If the new month has no such day, the last day of the month is used: January 31 + 1 month = February 28 (February 29 in a leap year).
- Years and months are added first, then weeks and days.

A year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4, except years divisible by 100 but not by 400: 2024 and 2000 are leap years, 1900 and 2100 are not.
Example. 1 year 6 months from 08/30/2025: + 1 year = 08/30/2026, + 6 months = 02/28/2027 (February 2027 has no 30th).
