Age on Other Planets
How old you are on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and other planets and when your next birthday on each of them will be.
The age on other planets calculator shows how old you would be on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and the other planets of the Solar System, and when your next birthday on each of them will come.
How it works
A year on a planet is the time of one full orbit around the Sun. The age on a planet is the number of Earth days lived divided by the length of that planet's year:
age = days lived/orbital period of the planet, days
| Planet | Year, Earth days | Planet | Year, Earth days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercury | 87.97 | Saturn | 10,759 |
| Venus | 224.7 | Uranus | 30,685 |
| Earth | 365.26 | Neptune | 60,189 |
| Mars | 686.98 | Pluto | 90,560 |
| Jupiter | 4332.6 |
By Kepler's third law, the farther a planet is from the Sun, the longer its year: on Mercury a student would celebrate four birthdays a year, while on Neptune nobody lives to their first.
Example. A 14-year-old has lived 14 · 365.26 ≈ 5114 days. On Mars that is 5114 / 686.98 ≈ 7.4 years, on Jupiter 5114 / 4332.6 ≈ 1.2 years.
