Countdown

The countdown calculator shows how many days, hours, minutes and seconds are left until a chosen date and time: New Year, a birthday, a vacation, an exam or any other event. The countdown on the page updates every second, and the solution converts the same time into weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds.

How to use it

• Pick the date and time of the event, or press a quick pick button to fill in the nearest such date.
• The event name is optional — it makes the countdown link easier to share.
• The live countdown follows your device clock, while the value in the solution is calculated at the moment of calculation in UTC.
• If the date has passed, the calculator shows how much time has passed since the event.

How the time left is calculated

Δt = event moment − current moment

The difference is converted to days, hours, minutes and seconds: 1 day = 24 h = 86,400 s, 1 h = 3600 s, 1 min = 60 s.

Example. From October 25, 2026, 12:00 to New Year (January 1, 2027, 0:00) there are 67 days 12 hours left, which is 1620 hours or 97,200 minutes.
