The calculator estimates gestational age and the due date by Naegele's rule: the first day of the last period plus 280 days for a 28-day cycle.

This is an estimate. A doctor confirms the date, usually by ultrasound in the first trimester. If you think you may be pregnant or feel unwell, seek medical care.
