Correlation and Regression

Separate numbers with spaces, both lists of the same length, at least 3 pairs.

This calculator finds the Pearson correlation coefficient and the linear regression equation by least squares, and draws the points and the line.

r = ^S_xy/_{√(S_xx · S_yy)}, a = ^S_xy/_{S_xx}, b = ȳ − a · x̄

The value of r lies from −1 to 1. The closer its absolute value is to 1, the stronger the linear relationship. The sign shows its direction.

Example. For the points (1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 6) we get r = 1 and y = 2x.
