The word and character counter counts characters with and without spaces, words, unique words, sentences, lines and paragraphs, letters, digits and punctuation. It lists the most frequent words and estimates the reading time and the size in standard pages.

What is counted

Characters with spaces — every character except line breaks, as in Word.
Characters without spaces — without spaces, tabs and line breaks.
Words — runs of letters and digits; hyphenated words (well-known) count as one.
Sentences — by . ! ? …; abbreviations with a period may add a few.
