Business Days
Count business days between dates excluding weekends and optional holidays, working hours, and the date after N business days.
The business days calculator counts working days, days off and holidays between two dates, the working hours in the period, and finds the date that comes after a given number of business days — for example, a contract deadline. You can choose a five- or six-day work week and optionally include Russian public holidays.
How it is counted
business days = all days in the period − days off − holidays on weekdays
- Both the start and the end date are included in the period.
- On a five-day week Saturdays and Sundays are days off; on a six-day week only Sundays.
- The date "after N business days" is counted from the day after the start date; days off and holidays are skipped.
Example. March 2026 without holidays: 31 days, of which 9 are Saturdays and Sundays. Business days: 31 − 9 = 22.
Russian public holidays
With the Russian holidays option, the calculator uses Article 112 of the Labour Code: January 1–8, February 23, March 8, May 1, May 9, June 12 and November 4. A day off that falls on a holiday moves to the next working day, and the working day before a holiday is one hour shorter. Moves of the January days off are set each year by a government decree and are not included.
