How to convert km/h to m/s
1 km = 1000 m and 1 h = 3600 s, so
1 km/h = 1000 m / 3600 s = 5/18 m/s ≈ 0.278 m/s, 1 m/s = 3.6 km/h
- km/h → m/s: divide by 3.6, for example 72 km/h = 72 : 3.6 = 20 m/s;
- m/s → km/h: multiply by 3.6, for example 15 m/s = 15 · 3.6 = 54 km/h.
